On the verge of immersive theatre, social experiment, hybrid reality and audio visual installations, Transmedia Artist and philosopher Victorine van Alphen explores how various mediated contexts can invite the audience through different perceptive states. She will share her method ‘choreographing modes of being’ in which she explores and investigates how to create these mediated contexts meaningfully to invite people to perceive a complex topic from different ‘embodied angles‘ (or modes of being), creating tangible and layered experiences. Her futuristic and award winning work IVF-X: Posthuman Parenting in Hybrid Reality - a clinic or ritual in which people can breed and meet personalised cyborg babies - will be an important casestudy. This immersive work allowed her to experiment with audiences worldwide. The second part of the lecture-workshop participants are welcomed to use her 24- dimensional experience model to analyse and create experiences together.

The lecture-workshop will be held in English. It will be moderated by Niels Gercama & Engy El Shenawy.
